We are principal traders who base our strategy on partnering with some of the world’s largest commodity trading houses who have the logistics and resources to generate continuous, high volumes of global, physical trade flows. These partnerships, combined with Xangbo’s strong capital base, global infrastructure and extensive banking support have allowed us to generate synergies in the value chain resulting in a market leading proposition in trade finance.

Headquartered in Singapore, the group has executed in excess of USD 20 billion of transactions across 15 jurisdictions in the last 5 years, with annual turnover currently in excess of USD 5 billion.

Xangbo trades a range of agricultural and natural resource commodities on its global platform. These typically include a range of grains, oilseeds, fertilizer, coal, metals and fuel oils and related products.

Xangbo’s experienced team is continuously searching for hidden values in the supply chain that are difficult to extract. We share these in our prices with our buyers and suppliers, which allow them to be more competitive in the market place.

Organisation

Since its inception in 2008, Xangbo has built a global team of experienced professionals in the key areas of origination, structuring, distribution, operations, finance, tax, legal and compliance. The core members of this team gained much of their experience working in the world’s largest commodity trading houses.

Operating out of eight resourced offices around the globe, our local presence and global coverage enable us to access information, manage risk and enhance value creation.

Risk Management

Xangbo proactively manages exposures to transaction level price, credit, currency, interest rate and related market risks. Risk reviews are undertaken for new counterparties and exposure limits allocated. Key developments in the political, economic and regulatory environment are constantly monitored to ensure Xangbo is able to adapt and manage perceived changes in risk across the multiple jurisdictions in which it operates.

Xangbo is managed by a Company holding the Capital Markets Services License, which is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), ensuring institutional level risk management, combined with a defined framework of internal control and a developed culture of risk awareness.

Xangbo runs its business on a fully integrated commodity trading, inventory management, information and accounting platform developed and implemented by Brady plc, a leading supplier of trading and risk management solutions for the commodity markets.

Through its global footprint, continuity of operations is assured across time zones and platforms and Xangbo has further implemented a disaster recovery process to manage infrastructure and business continuity risk.

Xangbo engages market leaders for support and compliance services, including audit services from Ernst & Young and top tier law firms for compliance matters and due diligence.
